Who we are

Our mission is to provide financial aid for end of life expenses and offer emotional support for families who have suffered the loss of a child from one year of age to seventeen years old (or currently enrolled in high school) in the Acadiana area of Louisiana.

 

The RescYOU Group also initiates and supports programs that focus on preventing child loss.

Free Grief Counseling & Support Groups

​

We are proud to partner with Acadiana Loss and Transition Center, and offer twelve months of free counseling. We also offer ongoing weekly and monthly support groups.

Financial Assistance

 

The RescYOU Group will provide financial assistance for end of life expenses.  This will be paid directly to funeral homes, granite / va​ult companies, for burial plots, or for medical bills associated with the child’s death.

RescYOU Navigator Program

 

This program pairs a newly grieving family to an on-call Navigator that will act as an emotional compass and guide the family on what to do next. Our trained RescYOU Navigators are all bereaved families.

Child Life Services

 

The RescYOU Group has on staff, certified counselors that can provide emotional support to siblings, friends, classmates, and teammates. We can provide immediate sibling support; keepsakes; end of life services for pediatric hospice patients or impending bereavement; and  parental support for how to care for children throughout the bereavement process.

Mentor Program

 

We will assign a mentor according to the family’s specific loss. This will be peer to peer support.
